What I Disliked
That they jacked up the price to $21. I remember when I could get this for only $16. The nearest Body Shop store to me closed down. If I want to get the full Body Shop Experience (and by that I mean going into the store and browsing), I have to go to a mall that’s nearly a half hour away.
Every time I stray from this body butter, I regret it.
That time I tried a homemade version from a local woman I met at a vintage expo?
Left my skin dry by the end of the day.
That time I tried that same woman’s body butter, but the Sunflower scent?
Left my skin dry at the end of the day. Even though I really loved the scent.
That time I tried Bath and Body Works Coco Shea Honey body butter?
Here in the Ninth Ring of Hell (a.k.a. Arizona), I know we joke that it’s a dry heat. But it is. Literally. During our hottest months, it feels like you’re walking into a blow dryer. My skin sucks up moisture like a frickin’ sponge. Much like my face, when the skin on my body has gotten used to something, it rejects everything else.
It knows what works and what doesn’t and I really need to be more intuitive when it comes to that.
I. Love. The Body Shop Body Butters <said in my Oprah Winfrey voice a la her Jenny Craig commercials>. I love how soft it makes my skin feel. If I didn’t shower every day, I’m sure I’d be feeling that moisturized the following day. Even though I tend to stick to this particular scent, I’ve also used Honeymania, Vitamin E, Moringa, and Japanese Cherry Blossom.
