My skin would usually feel dry after showering and I wanted to keep it moisturized. I was using other scented massage oils before deciding to go unscented. I came across this jojoba oil while shopping at Whole Foods and decided to try it.
Per the Aura Cacia site: “Because it’s low in fatty acids, but high in non-pore clogging wax esters, jojoba is a uniquely valuable oil that makes a fine lotion or cream replacement in face and body care.”
For me, it really does work like a lotion. I would smooth it on after washing, then do a quick rinse before patting myself dry. No dry skin in the morning. The Aura Cacia site mentions using jojoba oil as a facial cleansing method instead of soap. I honestly don’t know how I would do that. LOL
I’ll definitely try it as a lotion after I wash my face at night, though. There’s no way I could do it during the day. I still need that SPF protection.
